Piano Lessons
Introductory Lesson
All new students must schedule an introductory piano lesson regardless of playing ability to see if personalities are a right fit for all parties involved, and to discover if this studio’s teaching style works for you. Once the introductory lesson is complete, I will be in contact with you to schedule a weekly lesson time and we will complete all necessary studio paperwork and tuition payments.
Curriculum
Every individual learns differently and has varying goals and aspirations. In this studio, curriculum is curated to meet those individual needs. For beginning to intermediate students, the primary focus is heavily based on keyboard topography, note-reading, rhythm training, technique and music theory. I teach a wide range of repertoire from classical to popular music. Students pick their own performance pieces based on preference to keep their motivation high. For transfer students and advanced students, curriculum is designed to enhance strengths and focus on fundamentals and techniques that need special care and attention.
Age Requirement
This piano studio accepts students ages 6+ through adult. For students under the age of 12, parents are encouraged to sit and observe weekly lessons, so that they can assist and motivate their child during the practice week.
Location
Lessons are located in the Volcano, HI area and available online. If you are interested in enrolling and would like to schedule an introductory lesson, please fill out the contact form.
Books
Students are required to purchase their own music books and bring them to their weekly lessons. If the student is at a more advanced level, they may borrow music from the studio library or we can find their sheet music online. This studio does offer to purchase music books via a third-party website for students. Families may set-up an account with the studio for the purchasing of sheet music, method and repertoire books.
Contracts
A studio policy must be signed prior to beginning lessons.. Once the studio policy is signed, you are considered locked in for the weekly time slot assigned. To learn more about the studio policy, click here.

This studio provides flexible learning options to fit into your busy schedule while maintaining a world-class studio standard.
In-Person Lessons: Experience our professional studio ecosystem. Students learn, practice, and perform on an acoustic Yamaha Conservatory Grand Piano, allowing them to develop proper finger weight, dynamic control, and authentic touch.

45-Minute Introductory Lesson $50
Every student commences their private lesson experience with one introductory lesson at a discounted rate. This lesson determines if the teacher is the right fit and if the duration of lesson matches the student’s age and experience. After a successful lesson, students sign up for tuition-based lessons and will be a credit in the full amount of the introductory lesson toward first month of tuition.
For beginners, our lessons ensure that even after just one session, students will leave with the ability to play at least one piece. The lesson covers fundamental aspects such as keyboard topography, music notation, understanding hand placement on the piano, and grasping finger numbering conventions for both hands.
